Dawning has unveiled the Shuguang Tiankuo A950, an eight-CPU server developed in its own research laboratory.
The new server has eight CPUs which are integrated into the narrow space of 5U. The server can be easily expanded to a 16-CPU SMP system by adopting AMD's double-core CPU.
It supports as many as twelve SCSI or SATA hard disks and is the most powerful 64-bit 8CPU server currently in China.
