Officials from the Ministry of Information Industry have made remarks about the eventual roll-out of 3G in China.
Xi Guohua, vice minister of the Ministry of Information Industry, said during this week's 3G International Forum that the Ministry would consult with concerned departments and make detailed schedules and planning for 3G, but he did provide a timeframe.
Sina.com reports a rumor that China Mobile, China Telecom, China Unicom and China Netcom have each begun building a network for 3G experiments in various cities of the country. However it is still unclear which cities are being tested.
