A Chinese Mobile Phone Dealers' Alliance has been formed in Qingdao to help promote the healthy development

of China's mobile phone industry. The Alliance is an affiliate of China Mobile and it will work to protect the interests of consumers, mobile phone manufacturers and mobile phone dealers.

The Alliance will mainly work on alleviating conflicts between different dealers and regulating members' behaviors.

According to Mr. Xie Linzhen, chairperson of the newly-established alliance, they will try to attract 300 provincial-level

dealers and 60 nationwide dealers by the end of this year, making their total sales volume account for 60-70% of the market total in China.

China currently has thousands of mobile phone dealers at different levels, but the country is facing a disorderly mobile phone market as a result of poor competition and price wars.
