Skyworth has publicly taken a stand on recent accusations that it violated Chinese tax laws. The company says news of the CNY680 million tax scandal involving Skyworth is not true.
Skyworth management told local media that the Shenzhen Futian State Tax Bureau had completed its investigation and found Skyworth had not broken any major laws. The company said there were some small problems, but nothing that any other major enterprise would not have in its normal business operations.
The Shenzhen Municipal Government has consulted with the State Administration of Taxation, and they are reformulating a lower amount of tax owed by Skyworthy to local tax authorities.
