Ctrip.com (CTRP) has confirmed to local media that it has become the sole mainland China partner for the new Hong Kong Disneyland.
Ctrip has been authorized to sell park tickets as well as take online reservations for Hong Kong Disney Hotel and Disney Hollywood Hotel. Disneyland is slated to open on September 12, 2005.
This is supposedly the first authorization Hong Kong Disneyland has conferred on a mainland travel service.
According to Zhang Min, Overseas Cooperation Supervisor of Ctrip, the two sides had negotiated for a year and the final agreement was signed in early July.
