Shan Zhidong has filed a lawsuit against Shanghai Hotline (online.sh.cn) for contract infringement after Shanghai Hotline cancelled his account and deleted his bulletin board posts.
Shan said he last year successfully registered at online.sh.cn, but after he posted information about potentially hazardous counterfeit Weita Milk products being sold in the Shanghai area, Shanghai Hotline deleted his posts and account.
The local government later found Shan's claims to be true, but Shan feels that Shanghai Hotline has violated its own user agreement by cancelling his account.
Shan is asking for a written apology and reinstatement of his account details.
The case has been accepted by Shanghai Huangpu People's Court, but no date has been publicly set for the proceedings.
