Kimball Electronics Announces New China Operation

Kimball Electronics Group, a subsidiary of Kimball International (KBALB) has signed a letter of intent to establish a manufacturing facility in Nanjing.
Kimball Electronics Group is a global contract electronics manufacturing services (EMS) company that specializes in durable electronics.
Construction is planned to commence in the last quarter of calendar year 2005 with operations slated to begin in the Autumn of 2006.
Kimball says it made the decision to develop the China operation to strengthen its global responsiveness to customers and to add manufacturing capabilities for the automotive and industrial equipment industries.
