BenQ plans increased investment in its laptop computer line and will soon unveil six new budget laptops.
A BenQ spokesman told local media this is the first-ever major move made by the BenQ to provide low-priced computers to Chinese consumers.
One of the six laptops will also adopt AMD's processor and will be priced around CNY6000.
Tsinghua Unisplendour also recently launched its own line of low-priced laptops, but the company has had difficulty getting vendors to adopt and sell the line because of decreased profit margins.
