Baidu (BIDU) has earned a CNY300,000 special bonus from the Zhongguancun Management Commission.
Zhongguancun is a special high technology area in northwest Beijing that caters to tech companies by providing special tax benefits. The Zhongguancun Management Commission oversees activities in that area.
The Zhongguancun Management Commission told the media that the Baidu's recent listing on NASDAQ was a pride for both Zhongguancun and Beijing. So the government has decided to award the company with a special bonus during a ceremony to be held soon.
