Shanghai Media Group Joins Hands With Shanghai Telecom To Test IPTV

An IPTV network has been built at two trial sites in Shanghai. Shanghai Telecom is cooperating with Shanghai Media Group for this experiment.
One of the sites is at Daning Road in Zhabei District, and the other is at the office building of Shanghai Information Industry Group in Pudong District.
According to Wang Xiaochu, president of China Telecom, the IPTV service between Shanghai Telecom and Shanghai Media Group is for potential commercial use.
China Telecom is currently promoting IPTV in Shanghai and Guangzhou. About 40000 users are involved in the test network.
