Search engine Baidu.com (BIDU) will work with Beijing University to launch a "Chinese Search Behavior Lab", the first of its kind in China to study Chinese netizen's search motivations and habits.
Baidu plans to combine its search technology with the research achievements made at Beijing University to expand its search offerings.
They also plan to conduct blog analyses to investigate the demand, motivation, habits and behavior of Chinese search users, and then use this information to help determine new product orientation.
