Acer China has formally opened its offices in Shanghai this week, indicating the beginning of a battle with Dell and Lenovo in sales of electronics and computers.
Since April 1, 2005, Acer has been reorganizing its activities in China to temper declining sales.
Acer has re-classified and split its total China Market into respective Taiwan Market and Mainland Market areas. It has also transferred the original general manager of Mainland Acer to Taiwan and moved the so-called "Godfather" of Acer, Lan Taiyue, to the Mainland's offices.
According to statistics from IDC, Acer's computer sales rank fourth in the global market.

hello, need 600 pices of computer acer need the price ok. thenks.
Whils't in Shanghai on the 22nd September 2008 we purchased an acer 1 (one) series ZG5 Windows Professional XP SNID Number is 83712795425 but now we are having problems in that a window comes up "you may be a victim of software counterfeting this copy of windows did not pass genuine windows validation" we purchased the computer from a store that we were taken to by our Chinese Guide and have a receipt dated 22 September 2008. We were not given an appropriate Windows Professional XP Disc. The computer has a World Wide guarantee but Acer New Zealand/Australia has advised that they are not certified to putting in Windows Professional XP and needs the Shanghai Company to acknowledge the problem and fix it.
We do have an acer Outlet in Auckland which is our nearest acer outlet.
We would like an urgent reply please
