CEC Telecom has launched 14 models of higher-end mobile phone handsets, each with a two-million-pixel digital camera and multimedia entertainment functions, including MPEG-4 video support.
In the first round of large-scale marketing campaigns for 2005, 16 models of mobile phone handsets were launched, including a series of mini PDA phones.
Now that this second round of phones has been unleashed, the company hopes to duplicate their financial success. The first round of marketing this year lifted CECT's net income for the first half of 2005 to about US$10 million, more than double that for the same period a year earlier.
