A new Chinese blog survey was published this week in Beijing by Sohu.com (SOHU) and Dr. Jin Jinabin from Tsinghua University.
The survey analyzes major aspects of Chinese blog services, ranging from blog service providers to the features used most by blog writers and readers.
Unfortunately for advertisers, the report shows that 70% of Chinese blog users earn less than CNY2000 per month and half of them are students who do not have any income.
77% of users admit their intention for writing is to express their feelings. The report says 71% of users are satisfied with the current blog services available to them in China.
In addition to releasing the report, Sohu.com says it is actively promoting a Global Chinese Blog Competition, in which it plans to award prizes and recognition in various categories.
