Sun New Media has launched FM365, a business-to-business platform designed for consumer products companies to share critical product and advertorial information with their distributors and channel partners.
The b2b focused FM365 builds on the strength of the FM365 brand, the name of a popular Internet content portal launched by Lenovo in 1999.
The re-engineered FM365 was designed by Sun 365 Multimedia Holdings Ltd, a company that is 85% indirectly owned by SMIH and 15% owned by Lenovo, to develop broadband multimedia content and applications in China.
Sun 365 has historically focused on television productions, multimedia extensions, and event planning. However, Sun 365 is now leveraging its experience and contacts to shift its focus to becoming the leading b2b product information distribution player in China.
SNMI, through its wholly owned subsidiary Sun New Media Group Limited, provides exclusive management and support services to Sun 365 in relation to the promotion and marketing of various products in the People's Republic of China. FM365 is the first major launch in support of SNMI's redefined strategic focus on interactive business-to-business marketing services. As a part of its strategic realignment, SNMI is currently seeking outside investors to shift existing investments in non-core areas into supporting investments.
