Beijing authorities have shuttered an online pornographic chat room and captured two suspects who ran the online area.
This is the first such case uncovered by Beijing Police since the nationwide campaign against online pornography was launched in August this year.
A representative from the Beijing Public Security Bureau has told local media that the chat room was run by a male 40 year-old Henan native named Xie Dajie and a female teenager from Jiangsu named Xiao Meng.
The two rented a room in Tongzhou District of Beijing and often hosted online naked dances and some other sexual performances to attract netizens to watch after they paid money through the bank.
Xiao Meng, whose online alias is "Gou Hun Hong Yan" (Sexy Beauty), is said to have performed online.
