Japan's NetVillage has made "uucun" available through its subsidiary Shanghai NetVillage.
Developed by the subsidiary, the uucun search engine allows users to search for mobile content available in China by entering a keyword or a sequence of numbers from their PC or mobile phone.
The search engine also supports direct access to mobile content from search results. All the services are available for free.
PC users can also view mobile content using Shanghai NetVillage's proprietary browser.
There are more than 300 million mobile phone users in China, and the number of mobile Internet users is expected to reach 35 million by the end of the year.
