China Mobile (CHL) plans to purchase many types of mobile phones from Bird, the largest mobile phone manufacturer in China.
China Mobile says its order will include the latter's S198, S610 and V69.
China Mobile has strict standards on those customized mobile phones. It requires them not only pass its relevant strict tests, but also be competitive in performance and price.
China's nationally-made mobile phone exports exceeded 6 million in the first three quarters of the year. And Bird took up 60% of the total export quantity.
