iSoftStone Receives US$14 Million In Strategic Investment

iSoftStone Information Service, a Chinese IT consulting and software outsourcing service provider, received has US$14 million in strategic investments from AsiaVest and InfoTech.
iSoftStone has also disclosed that the company had successfully completed its merger and acquisition with United Innovation Technology Co. Ltd. (UITEC).
T.W. Liu, Chairman and CEO of iSoftStone, stated at the press conference, "With the recent investment, the new iSoftStone will continue to expand its overall service capabilities in the IT service and software outsourcing industry, through mergers and acquisitions, as well as organic growth. iSoftStone aims to become the top IT service provider in China within a couple of years."
Both iSoftStone and UITEC are in the list of the 29 outsourcing pilot companies selected by the Ministry of Science and Technology. The acquisition demonstrates iSoftStone's efforts to strengthen its overall IT services capabilities. UITEC has a dominant advantage in embedded software development and testing capabilities, which is complementary to iSoftStone's current business lines.
Since its establishment in 2001, iSoftStone has become one of the top IT consulting and software service providers through high growth and extensive coverage.
Currently iSoftstone has over 800 employees, and it has set up branch offices in Shanghai, Wuhan, Dalian, Shenzhen, Boston, and Seoul. Its training centers in Wuhan and Beijing provide a large pool of IT talents to meet the growing needs of iSoftStone and the Chinese IT Service industry.
iSoftStone has been certified at CMM Level 4 and plans to obtain the certification of CMMI Level 5 in the first quarter of 2006.
