Guangzhou Mobile Launches First 3G Network In China

Guangzhou Mobile has unveiled a real 3G network service to citizens in Guangzhou.
The network provides high-speed Internet access, video calls and mobile phone TV services. Guangzhou Mobile has set up three demonstration sites in the city for users to experience the new service.
Currently the network is mainly used to demonstrate 3G applications in public security, education, medicine, manufacturing, logistics and financing to corporate users.
Guangzhou Mobile is also preparing to open a 3G Experience Shop oriented towards ordinary citizens to show the real application of 3G in people's lives.
Guangzhou has been listed by the Ministry of Information Industry (MII) as one of the three 3G testing sites in China.
