HP To Reorganize China Marketing Operations

HP (HPQ) has announced that it will soon end its general agent system for its commercial products in China.
HP will divide the Chinese market into eight separate regions, whose general agent names will be published next month.
Chen Hanqian, general manager of HP's Information Products Group, says that as an international company, HP must adadt to China's localized marketing before it can win in the respective local markets. Chen says that HP will arrange a general agent for each of the eight regions to be responsible for the sales of the specific region.
