Shanda's (SNDA) Chongqing Office says that the first batch of Shanda's EZpod IPTV products will enter the Chongqing market before the Spring Festival.
At that time, users in Chonqqing will be able to order television and film programs, use karaoke, and play computer games over the EZpod device.
Shanda says it wants to cooperate with manufacturers in Chongqing on the home digital entertainment terminal and says it is receiving favorable responses.
However, a number of other broadband operators are also launching IPTV services in Chongqing, which will compete directly with Shanda's devices.
