eBay (EBAY) Eachnet has formally introduced Skype into the Chinese market to help increase the online trading volume between buyers and sellers.
Concerned persons from eBay Eachnet say that video-based chat tools will help traders save time and costs during the transaction process.
eBay spent US$2.6 billion purchasing Skype in September 2005. It has promised to pay the latter a certain proportion of income based on the performance of Skype within the market.
Since January 5, eBay Eachnet has been promoting the Skype service, offering such gifts as iPods and Skype phones to users who download and install the software.
