Fujifilm has denied an earlier report that its Chinese agent Guangxi Juxing Technology Company has been involved in smuggling film in China.
Neither China's State Development and Reform Commission nor the Ministry of Commerce has made any comment on the issue.
Local media reported last year that Guangxi Juxing was set up illegally and changed its business scope on its own without being approved by the concerned licensing departments. The company did not respond to the media on this charge.
Fujifilm said that it would take legal actions after relevant investigations.
