China's hinterlands now have access to telephones and the Internet, thanks to a large investment by China Mobile.
China Mobile says it has invested a total of CNY9 billion in the past two years, helping 25862 villages in the country realize telephony.
China Mobile was originally planning to assist 19927 villages, but it ended up completing 130% of the total task.
In 2006, China Mobile will continue to add more investment to increase village communications.
