After receiving consumer complaints, the Zhejiang Provincial Pricing Bureau (ZPPB) now says that it will start a special inspection on the pricing of telecom products in the province.
Focus will be on the pricing behavior of telecom operators, their agents and information service providers.
According to ZPPB, it will concentrate on six major areas: whether the service providers provide standard charging; if they use improper language, text, graphics or measurement to mischarge consumers; whether they are offering standardized promotional prices; whether they impose additional conditions in selling goods or providing services in an ambiguous manner; and how well they carry out their price commitment.
ZPPB says it will severely punish those that involved in poor selling tactics.
