Warburg Pincus says it will pay US$150 million for 10% of GOME Electrical Appliances. GOME is one of China's top electronics retail chains.
GOME will sell convertible bonds and warrants to Warburg Pincus and plans to expand its share of the US$55 billion electronics retail market in China.
GOME plans to open 200 outlets this year, on top of more than 400 across China now.
