Guangdong Telecom is upgrading its DSL network across the province.
After the upgrade, the speed of Guangdong Telecom's ADSL network will be dramatically accelerated and reach 10Mbps-1Mbps within 2.5 kilometers of each node.
Guangdong Telecom's DSL network transformation consists of capacity improvements of the existing network and new technology introductions.
For ADSL network construction, Guangdong Telecom will build a new DSLAM node to shorten users' access to the network. It will also separate the traffic from the overflow node to improve access speed rates.
Guangdong Telecom will also introduce ADSL2+ equipment to enhance the capacity of DSL. The company will need to rebuild 80% of its network nods to reach its goal.
