In order to achieve better operating efficiency, Lenovo is considering organizing a public bidding for its desktop computers that previously were assembled by international OEM giant Sanmina-SCI.
Lenovo plans an output volume of 10 million desktop computers this year.
Local media analysts believe Lenovo's final choice of an OEM will affect the competition structure among the OEMs.
At present, Lenovo takes up as much as 20% of market share in the Asia Pacific Region. It ranks third in the global market next to Dell and HP.
