Police in Beijing's Haidian District have detained two college students who were found to have stolen virtual game cards worth more than CNY700,000 from Netease.
The two students, who local media report are surnamed Zang and Ding, took advantage of a loophole in an ADSL upgrade and stole more than 200 accounts and over 60 email addresses to obtain the point cards from Netease.
Police say the students had earned more than CNY400,000 by selling the stolen cards at low prices online.
