China Unicom (CHU) has set up a Value-added Service Support and Service Center, the first of its kind in China to provide a full-range support and services to partners of value-added services.
Li Zhengmao, vice president of China Unicom, says that new center is an open department affiliated with China Unicom's Value-added Service Department, and it will be responsible for service provider (SP) consulting, SP partnerships, service test support, data inquiries, settlements and training.
An unnamed source quoted in local media says says that the purpose for China Unicom to set up this new department is to provide more open, fair and efficient services to SPs, and to better supervise SP's behaviors.
