Instant message provider Tencent has formally put its C2C platform Paipai.com into operation.
But analysts quoted in local media say that this platform does not have many advantages over the other C2C websites Taobao.com and eBay Eachnet.
Like those of Taobao.com and eBay Eachnet, Paipai.com has online stores, a games area and such virtual equipment as game cards and account.
According to Zhan Weibiao, general manager of Tencent's e-commerce department, Paipai.com will adopt a free policy as an effort to lower the threshold of China's e-commerce and to facilitate users' online experiences.
Zhan says that Tencent aims to become an innovator and promoter of China's e-commerce.
