Beijing Capital International Airport is planning an RFID system for outbound luggage transport and security checks to improve its luggage freight efficiency and accuracy.
The airport has started to collect comments from consumers across the country, and according to the consumers' feedback, they are most worried about lost luggage.
The airport in China's capital city said that it will create a series of measures to improve its hardware facilities and service quality. In particular, it will use RFID technology to conduct real-time monitoring on each piece of luggage to prevent any lost luggage freight.
The airport has not yet announced which vendors will be providing the RFID services or how much the airport is planning to spend on this new initiative.
