A new type of double module mobile phone that has embedded WIFI will soon make its appearance in Shanghai.
Local media report that this type of mobile phone, which looks similar to common mobile phones, can not only be used to make calls under a GSM network, but also can use VoIP under a WIFI network.
The WIFI calls will be inexpensive, with domestic long-distance calls only costing CNY0.15 per minute and the international calls CNY0.3 per minute.
WiFi Mobile Phone Company, the maker of the phone says that they have chosen a general agent in Shanghai and the mobile phone will arrive in the city in the coming months. The price of the phone is about CNY4000.
