Upset about the endless spam coming into her email inbox, a Beijing woman surnamed Wang is suing the spammer in the first Beijing court case about unsolicited commercial email.
The spam sender is said to be Shanghai Yiteng Enterprise Management Consulting Company.
According to Wang, this company has been sending spam to her inbox since 2005 via a network company called Guangzhou Network Computer Technology Company. She says the bulk email costs her a lot of time and money in hassles.
Wang believes that both parties have violated her rights to have a clean inbox and wants CNY1100 in compensation.
The case is being processed by Beijing Chongwen District People's Court.
Two weeks ago a new antispam law went into effect in China.
