After the negotiations on acquiring Five-Star Appliance ended with no deal, American retailer Best Buy has now turned its eyes to other Chinese home appliance franchisers including Gome, Suning and Yongle.
Local media quote experts who say that the key issue for Best Buy to consider in the acquisition of any of the three will be their price. As all three are listed companies, the acquisition procedure might also be very complicated.
Best Buy opened its first store in Shanghai last month, and buying a Chinese franchiser may be helpful for its development in China.
