Huawei Changes Corporate Logo

Huawei Technologies has announced that its corporate logo will be changed effective May 8, 2006.
Huawei says the new logo reflects its principles of customer-focus; innovation; steady and sustainable growth; and harmony. The company says that with a new push outside of China, the new logo will better represent the company to a global audience.
"During such a crucial period for global telecom transformation, there will be greater trust and higher expectations from customers of Huawei, a leader in providing next generation telecommunications networks for carriers around the world. Changing our logo demonstrates our readiness and capability to take on future opportunities and challenges together with our customers," said Dr. ZhiJun Xu, Chief Marketing Officer of Huawei.
Statistics shows that Huawei achieved CNY45.3 billion sales revenue in 2005 an its sales income from overseas market exceeded that of the domestic market for the first time in the year, and accounted for 58% of the company's total sales income.
