Consumers will have access to their call logs no later than the end of this year with a new order issued by the Ministry of Information Industry (MII).
The order requires telecom operators to provide a full call list for consumers.
Beijing Mobile, Beijing Unicom, Beijing Tietong and Beijing Telecom have already launched the service. Beijing Netcom, the largest fixed phone service provider in Beijing says that it will try to provide the service within the year by improving its technology and system transformation.
According to "Telecom Service Criterion" issued by MII, telecom service operators should provide a complete checklist for pre-paid mobile service and long distance phone call service.
In addition, they need to give a fee check list to users free of charge upon request.
