P2P technology provider Mysee has reached a long-term strategic cooperation agreement with Shanghai Media Group (SMG) to launch video live broadcast of the 2006 World Cup.
According to their agreement, Mysee shall customize a P2P flow media technology platform for SMG, who owns the exclusive Chinese rights to live broadcast of the event through online video frequencies, to broadcast the football matches to Chinese netizens.
Mysee is a high-tech company backed up Tsinghua University. Set up in July 2004, it has cooperated with a number of websites in broadcasting Taiwan officials' visits to the mainland, the launching of the Shenzhou VI rocket and the Spring Festival Gala.
SMG says that it chose Mysee as partner for the event because of the company's rich experience and advanced technology for live broadcasting.
