The Beijing Municipal Culture Department has issued yellow warning cards to 12 netcafes who have illegally accepted teenagers into their businesses.
The yellow cards are to be hung in each of the offending netcafes and each proprietor will be fined CNY15000.
The netcafe owners can have the yellow cards removed from their premises after one month if an investigation proves that the respective businesses have changed their behavior.
The city initiated a 90-day special investigative action within the Internet cafe market on May 10.
