Ctrip.com Arranges Scholarships For Poor Students

Ctrip.com (CTRP), one of the largest online travel service providers in China, has announced the Sunshine Scholarship Fund in seven cities across China to finance poor college students.
The seven cities where Ctrip.com is going to establish the fund include Qingdao, Shenyang, Wuhan, Chengdu, Xiamen, Hanghzou and Nanjing.
Ctrip.com will offer CNY5000 per person to poor students with excellent academic achievements from 14 institutions of higher learning in these cities.
Liang Jianzhang, president of Ctrip.com, says that from now on, Ctrip.com will take out CNY0.1 from each room or air ticket booked to support those students. The activity will last for at least five years and involve more than CNY10 million investment in total.
