The World Health Organization country office in China has formally launched its new Chinese web presence.
Located at www.wpro.who.int/china, the organization says the website seeks to better reflect the spectrum of WHO programmes that support the Chinese government in its efforts to strengthen public health.
WHO works directly with the Ministry of Health of China, as well as with other ministries, UN agencies and various health partners, on programmes ranging from emerging infectious diseases to HIV/AIDS, from tuberculosis to chronic non-communicable diseases, from health systems development to tobacco control.
