Chinese domestic electronic manufacturer Skyworth is planning to open 3000 mobile phone imaging stores across the country and sell about 1 million mobile phones this year.
This is the first large-scale deployment for Skyworth since its acquisition of a mobile phone license on May 25, 2005.
Yin Leqiong, a representative from Skyworth's PR Department, disclosed that the company has already completed two-thirds of the 3000 stores which involved a total investment of more than CNY10 million.
Each mobile phone imaging store will allow customers to quickly print, enlarge, and crop photos taken on their mobile phones and digital cameras.
Skyworth has been very cautious within the mobile phone market since it obtained the license last year. In the past year, it only developed eight types of mobile phones, and sells less than 50000 mobile phones each month.
