Guangdong Mobile has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with software provider Kingdee for mobile commerce.
The two companies say this is the first large scale cooperation between a telecom company and a software enterprise in the field of mobile commerce in China.
A representative from Kingdee says that there is big potential on China's mobile commerce market where the market scale has reached more than CNY11.9 billion in 2006.
Gao Zhixing, deputy general manager of Guangdong Mobile, says that the two parties will work together on providing convenient and fast mobile commerce services for corporate clients by sharing their resources and making use of each other's advantages.
Kingdee is one of the largest software providers in the Asia Pacific Region and takes a leading position in the field of ERP. Through this cooperation with Guangdong Mobile, it hopes to further assert its influence in the Guangdong area.
