China Mobile (CHL) has just released its wireless music strategy and launched a wireless music club M.Music.
The new music club, which is intended to serve as a new music experience and one-stop music purchasing and entertainment platform, offers such services as music downloads and sharing for China Mobile's registered mobile phone users.
China Mobile says that income from music related services has accounted for one-third of the total income of its Monternet service.
Lu Xiangdong, vice president of China Mobile, says that wireless music services will soar in the coming years and the establishment of this club is one of the strategies to help promote the rapid development of the domestic wireless music market.
