Motorola And Huawei Arrange 3G R&D Center

Motorola (MOT) and Huawei have jointly announced a new cooperation to provide more powerful and complete UMTS solutions and HSPA solutions to clients around the world.
As part of their cooperation in the field of UMTS, they will first set up a 3G R&D Center in Shanghai. Developers from both sides will work at the center to implement a series of plans on network structure, product solution and engineering services.
Apart from providing advanced engineering services such as network design and system integration, Motorola will also offer a series of value-added service related technologies for the center. Huawei will bring its own technology innovation and development capacity into full play during the cooperation.
It is expected that the cooperation between the two will earn each of them an advantageous position in the global UMTS market.
