Li Feng, Marketing Promotion Director from BestTV, an affiliate of Shanghai Media Group, says the company will promote Shanghai IPTV in September.
SMG and Shanghai Telecom plan to adopt flexible price policies and offer three types of package services for users. Li says that the highest monthly fee for the IPTV package service will be less than CNY100.
At present, BestTV has no more than 10000 IPTV users in Shanghai, compared to the 60000 in Harbin. However it hopes that there will be 50000 IPTV users in Shanghai.
Li tells local media that SMG has reached consensus with Shanghai Telecom and they are focused on making Shanghai the city that has the most IPTV users in China in 2007.
