Rumor: BenQ Will Separate OEM Into New Business

Taiwanese media report that BenQ will separate its OEM service from its traditional business in a corporate reshuffle.
Under the rumored plan, Li Wende, current general manager of BenQ in Europe, will work as general manager of the new brand company. Huang Yuguo, general manager of BenQ's Computer Business Department, will be the general manager of the OEM company.
Veterans of the company such as the current general manager Li Xihua and brand general manager Wang Wencan have not appeared on the new management list.
In BenQ's financial report for the second quarter of 2006, it posted its third quarterly loss and said it expected flat sales in the third quarter.
