Guangdong Province Arranges RFID Support Center

The Guangdong Provincial RFID Public Technology Support Center, the first of its kind in China, has been formally opened with the joint efforts of the Guangdong Provincial Radio Inspection Station and Logistic & IT Associates.
Consisting of six major departments, this center is aimed at promoting the the healthy development of the RFID industry in Guangdong by drawing on help from successful businesses. The center's departments consist of a Comprehensive Planning Department, Software Testing Department, Hardware Testing Department, Middleware Development Department, Application Promotion Department and Joint Lab.
24 companies and educational and research institutions, including Intel, Microsoft, SAVI, Zebra and the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, have already agreed to provide various support for the center.
