Digital Television Conversion Launches In Beijing

Digital television conversion has been launched in eight districts of Beijing and already about 50000 users in the city have access to digital programs.
A representative from Beijing Gehua Cable Television Company tells local media that Beijing will adopt a first run a trial and then complete a comprehensive conversion in shifting the television signals. Any registered users in Beijing who have paid cable television fees will get a set-top box for free and enjoy the same fee standard as in the past.
Apart from the current television programs, users are able to watch 15 new digital programs after they install the set-top box In addition, there are more than 40 paid high-definition programs for them to subscribe.
